Its primary focus is on improving well-being by fostering physical, mental and emotional health within diverse communities.

TERA - Maison de l'Europe de la Charente

TERA - Maison de l'Europe de la Charente is dedicated to promoting international mobility and raising awareness of Europe, mainly among rural people. Here is a summary of TERA's main activities:

European KA2 projects:

TERA participates in Erasmus+ KA2 cooperation projects, which aim to develop innovative practices and strengthen collaboration between European organisations in the fields of education, training and youth.

International mobility

TERA helps young adults (aged 18-30) to take part in voluntary projects, work placements or jobs abroad, via the European Solidarity Corps. These projects are linked to solidarity, culture and sustainable development. Participants receive financial support for travel, accommodation and an allowance.

Raising awareness of European issues

The association offers events and training to raise awareness of European issues among a wide audience, particularly the people of Charente, through activities in schools and local events.

ALPHA

ALPHA is a non-profit association, working on the European integration process of institutions, civil society and people from all ages through promotion of civic education, human rights and intercultural dialogue at national level.

ALPHA is a small size organisation operating with a professional staff of various trainers, consultants and social workers, supported by qualified volunteers. The key staff has participated in local and EU projects, aiming at promotion of tolerance and European values among the people in the region and the country.

Some of the key activities implemented by ALPHA are:

Organisation of workshops, forums, exhibitions and all kinds of dissemination events on topics related to European integration and development
Non-formal education, culture and art activities for inclusion of vulnerable groups
Research on social and educational fields in the framework of initiatives at local/national/international level
Quality assessment of projects and programmes
